As part of Utel’s commitment to recognizing its graduates, we proudly held the Virtual Graduation Ceremony for Asia on August 10th. This event celebrated our students from countries including the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Vietnam who have completed their studies. It highlighted our dedication to their continued growth and inspired them to advance in their professional journeys.
The ceremony was further enhanced by the presence of our esteemed partners from EMAPTA, Edukasyon, and CloudSwyft. Their participation added to the significance of the occasion, as they shared encouraging words with the graduates embarking on the next chapter of their careers.
Partners’ Speech
Our first message comes from Inge Zwick, Executive Director of EMAPTA, a global staffing and outsourcing company that has played a key role in our journey. Inge shared her thoughts on this important milestones:
“Greetings to the Utel team. This is Inge. I am the executive director at EMAPTA. We are a global staffing and outsourcing company. Our biggest team is in the Philippines. We have over 8,000 team members there. Many of them have been part of the original Utel pioneer team as well. We were really proud and happy to work with Utel a few years ago when they expanded into Asia. And seeing here today, the first graduates of the Master’s program from the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India makes us really, really happy. Congratulations to all the graduates. You surely must have worked very hard to further your education. Many of you I know while working alongside the studies, it’s never easy, but you have achieved it and you’re graduating today, so congratulations. We are also really happy to see Utel and the Utel community expand over Asia and really making a big impact onto the communities because we know that for all of you who are studying and furthering your education, you are impacting people around you, your family, your community, your colleagues. And this is what brings us all forward. So please continue on your path. Education is key to improving everyone’s life. And we’re just proud to be working with Utel and many of you here. And a big shout out, of course, to all the Philippine team members. Mabuhay and congratulations. In particular, the Philippine team members who were part of the Utel family from the beginning with us at the EMAPTA. We miss you guys. We hope you’re doing well. And we’re just really, really proud. So again, congratulations and best regards from us, from the Philippines, also from our team in South America, Colombia, and our team in Europe, in North Macedonia. Best regards and have a great party today.”
Following Inge’s inspiring words, we heard from Almhie Calma, Head of Project Management at Edukasyon.ph. Almhie highlighted how Utel’s commitment to quality education aligns with their own mission in the Philippines:
“Hi everyone, I am Almhie Calma, the Head of Project Management team at Edukasyon.ph, the leading education technology and learning company in the Philippines. We’ve been working closely with Utel University because we highly believe that Utel is taking a step forward to improve the quality of education and learning experience for students, not just here in the Philippines but also globally. And you are all here as proof of this. And I’ve heard that this is indeed a new milestone for Utel and all of you as the first batch of Master’s degree graduates for Asia. Congratulations to all of you here for making it this far and for actually embarking on a journey towards continuous learning and improvement. This is exactly why Edukasyon.ph is here. All of you have chosen this journey for different reasons. Some for personal and professional growth, some for upskilling, and some to try something new. I am confident that with your whole experience with Utel, the knowledge, expertise, skills, and actual applications, you will be able to explore further opportunities in whatever career and personal path you will take. Again, congratulations and all the best to our 2024 graduates!”
Finally, we were honored to hear from Dan Angelo de Guzman, Founder and CEO of CloudSwyft, who offered valuable advice on following your passions and striving for greatness:
“Good day, everyone. My name is Dan Angelo de Guzman, and I’m the founder and CEO of CloudSwyft. We have been a partner and a tremendous strategic alliance supporter of Utel University for many years, since 2021. I’d like to extend a very happy congratulations to all of the graduates of Utel University of this year, 2024, all of your parents, all of your professors, the deans, the program heads, the Utel University top management team, as well as the guests for this tremendous event. One of the things that I’d like to share with you as an entrepreneur, and one of the things that I feel so privileged about today and feel honored today, is to be in front of you guys and share some insights. I’d like you to remember these key concepts. Dreams are never going to be logical. I urge you to not listen to naysayers, doubters, haters. The reality is that no one has ever achieved anything extraordinary with just the limits of logic. I’d like you to remember to always have that fire and passion, imagination, hard work, resilience and the true guts that turn realities or that turn dreams into realities. We have but one precious life. I would like to encourage everyone to make it an adventure. Do what it is that ignites your soul. Dream big. Do good. And of course, do not forget to give back to the community and the next generation of professionals. Chase the greatness in you. You will never be ready. No one is, but you will never get to the ultimate success without trying and without working hard for it. Tomorrow, in a very real essence of your life, the life you offered from scratch and from the ground up on your own begins as you finish your journey for this amazing milestone graduating from one of the top digital universities in the world, Utel University. I’d like to congratulate again, everyone and you should tap each other in the back, tap each other, all of your family members, your friends and all of your mentors and professors for helping you reach this moment. Again, thank you so much. It’s an honor to be here. Have a great day.”
The words shared by our partners remind us that education is a journey that transcends borders and transforms lives. They inspire us to keep moving forward with determination, to keep the passion for learning alive, and to never stop dreaming big. Congratulations to all our unstoppable graduates!
