Prof. Dr. Anoop Swarup: Honored Guest’s Speech at Virtual Graduation Ceremony Asia Class 2024

Virtual-Graduation-Speech

On August 10th, we marked an historic milestone in Utel’s history with our first-ever Virtual Graduation for students across Asia, celebrating their achievements and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

For this grand event, our Honored Guest, Prof. Dr. Anoop Swarup, General Secretary of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), shared a powerful message on how education is one of the most valuable assets in a person’s life.

Prof. Dr. Anoop Swarup’s Speech

Ladies and gentlemen, the esteemed faculty, the proud families and most importantly the young graduates, today we gather to celebrate a momentous occasion as you graduate with masters from a very prestigious institution, Utel University. Indeed, it is the culmination of years of your hard work, dedication and perseverance. As you stand on the threshold of a watershed moment in your own lives, I want to share some thoughts as you embark on the journey which is called life.

True, you have made the best investment in higher education and will soon realize, as I have done, that learning never stops. The value of continuous learning is what drives our lives, our world as you step in the bold new world of tomorrow to achieve your future. I am inspired by the thousands of years old scripture, the ‘‘Upanishad’’, which states, there is nothing more divine than education.

Investing in higher education is critically important for all of us. With your master’s degree, it will not only open the door for a future world of opportunities, but it will be a belief in your own self. Your knowledge and skills would navigate you through complexities of the professional world. Studies have shown that education significantly enhances employability and also the earning potential. It makes our world a better place for all and it brings you a successful and a fulfilling career.

Your education at Utel has not only prepared you for a chosen field, but has also broadened your horizons. Congratulations again on your journey of life, on your success, on your happiness and your continuous learning.

Let me conclude with a leaf from the ‘‘Sanskrit Shloka’’: ‘‘Lead us from untruth to truth, from darkness to light and from death to immortality. Let me voice the clarion call given by the 18th century saint Swami Vivekananda when he said, arise awake and stop not until your goal is reached’’.

Thank you so much. Congratulations once again. ¡Thank you!

These were the words of Prof. Dr. Anoop Swarup during the Virtual Graduation Ceremony for the Asia Class of 2024, as all the graduates now step into a future full of opportunities. Congratulations to all our unstoppable graduates on this remarkable achievement!
